Customized Eco-Friendly Packaging for a Premium Baked Goods Brand

A well-known premium baked goods brand Rushmore was facing two critical issues. First, their original plastic packaging failed to maintain the freshness of their artisanal bread and pastries—products often became dry within 24 hours, leading to a 15% increase in customer complaints. Successful Customized Solution

Our R&D team designed a three-layer composite packaging. The inner layer used food-grade biodegradable PLA film with moisture-locking technology, which could extend the product’s freshness to 72 hours. The middle layer was a recycled paperboard that provided structural support to prevent deformation during transportation. The outer layer adopted a matte kraft paper with the brand’s logo embossed on it, creating a simple yet high-end visual effect. Additionally, we added a small transparent window made of plant-based plastic, allowing customers to see the products inside without compromising freshness.

Production, Delivery & Customer Praise

We completed the sample production within 5 working days and adjusted the thickness of the inner film according to the client’s test results (the initial sample had slightly insufficient moisture retention). The mass production was finished in 12 days, and the goods were delivered on time. A manufacturer specializing in portable Bluetooth speakers was encountering serious transportation issues. Their products had a high failure rate (around 20%) during long-distance shipping because the original foam packaging could not effectively resist vibration and impact. The damaged products not only increased the company’s after-sales costs but also affected customer trust. The client needed packaging that could provide strong anti-shock protection to reduce the failure rate to below 2%, while also being lightweight to lower logistics costs.

The client reached out to us after learning about our experience in electronic product packaging. Our engineers first tested the original packaging to identify its weaknesses: the foam was too soft and had uneven stress distribution. We then studied the structure of the Bluetooth speaker—its main vulnerable parts were the speaker unit and the battery. Based on this, we proposed a customized anti-shock solution combining different materials.

Successful Customized Solution

We designed a two-part packaging system. The inner part used EPE (Expandable Polyethylene) foam with a precision-molded cavity that perfectly fit the shape of the speaker, ensuring that the vulnerable parts were fully wrapped and supported. The outer part was a corrugated carton with a honeycomb structure inside, which enhanced the overall impact resistance. To reduce weight, we optimized the thickness of the EPE foam and used high-strength, lightweight corrugated paper. Additionally, we added anti-static treatment to the packaging to prevent electrostatic damage to the electronic components.

Production, Delivery & Customer Praise

We produced 500 test packages first, and the client conducted a 100km simulated transportation test. The results showed that the product failure rate was only 0.5%, far lower than their target. We then started mass production and delivered 100,00 sets of packaging within 20 days. The client expressed great satisfaction: “This packaging has solved our biggest transportation problem. Luxury Gift Packaging for a High-End Cosmetic Brand

Client’s Needs & Challenges

A high-end cosmetic brand was launching a limited-edition skincare gift set for the holiday season. Their main challenges were: first, the gift set contained multiple products (serum, cream, facial mask) of different shapes and sizes, requiring packaging that could neatly arrange all items. Second, as a luxury gift product, the packaging needed to have a high-end and exquisite appearance to attract consumers and reflect the brand’s luxury positioning. Third, the packaging had to be easy to open and reuse to enhance the customer experience.

The brand approached us to customize the gift packaging. During the consultation, we learned about the product specifications, the holiday theme (warm and romantic), and the target consumers (females aged 25-45 with high purchasing power). We proposed to integrate three elements into the packaging: practicality (reasonable layout), aesthetics (luxury design), and interactivity (easy opening and reusability).

Successful Customized Solution

We designed a drawer-type gift box made of high-quality rigid paperboard. The outer box was covered with matte gold foil paper, printed with the brand’s logo and delicate floral patterns using UV printing technology, creating a luxurious texture. Inside the drawer, we used custom-shaped EVA foam inserts to fix each product in place, preventing collision and ensuring a neat arrangement. We also added a magnetic closure to the drawer, making it easy to open and close, and the box could be reused as a storage box for cosmetics or small items. Additionally, we matched the box with a silk ribbon and a personalized greeting card to enhance the gift-giving experience.

Production, Delivery & Customer Praise

We completed the sample design in 7 days and made minor adjustments to the color of the foil paper according to the client’s request. The mass production of 50,00 gift boxes was finished in 15 days, and we delivered them two days ahead of the client’s schedule. The limited-edition gift set sold out within a week of its launch.
